Unable to play .mkv video files properly about nextcloud-snap HOT 5 CLOSED

assuming you have your Nextcloud snap installed on a server and are accessing the files from a client with Ubuntu 23.10 installed. the client upon which you are trying to view matroska video files does not have the necessary CODECS installed to play .mkv video files. this would be a client issue and is certainly not an Nextcloud snap issue.

I access it through Windows 11 system and Chrome latest browser. windows has installed PotPlayer 64 bit can play .mkv files.

I may understand that special web page code support is needed. I found some player code that supports more media types. Can you see if you can use it?

so I've gone ahead and tested this. indeed matroska video files are not displayed.
this is a third party issue so surely there is nothing we can do in the snap. See FAQ's

What I mean is whether it is possible to add a player that is feature-rich and supports more media types? I don't find anything about playback errors in the log file.
