I'm fine with repo access / admin so I can work on tickets, merge PRs, etc. I'd rather it stay here.

Okay, I've sent both of you collaborator invites! @Bad-ptr, if you want one too, please let me know.

Thank you @nex3 for creating perspective!! We'll take good care of it.

It would be better to avoid moving the project and breaking existing references to its current GitHub repository. There is enough confusion with perspective providing persp-mode
, but co-existing with a fork called persp-mode which also provides persp-mode
and has 20× more downloads on MELPA compared to mainline perspective-el (though the numbers are essentially the same on MELPA Stable for persp-mode and perspective).
I would like to hear about @nex3's views on the future of perspective.

I did say that I wanted to work on this project in a way that fit their original goals/philosophy. They seemed more concerned in handing it off to give it a good home. I would say it is 90% of the way there and just needs some maintenance from us to get it to the finish line.
As to why persp-mode (a fork of this mode) has 20x more downloads? meh. I tried them all out. This was the one that fit my workflow the most (esp w/ the PR I have up now). We can try to compete and/or fix up the confusion between the two if you want. Right now I'd rather make this project healthy and then fit my workflow better.

I'm cool with contributor access. I have no interest in competing with anyone's Emacs packages, but am open to any and all approaches to clearing up confusion.
The ticket list here has had some good ideas added over the years, and I could look into them as time permits.
I haven't reviewed your PR, but should be able to find time in the next week or two. I think the persp-state feature from #80 may need to be adapted to support created-time
. It'd be great if you could review the PRs I opened, especially the bug fixes (as well as #86, where I prefer my solution to the one in the submitted patch).

cc @Bad-ptr, who maintains https://github.com/Bad-ptr/persp-mode.el and has expressed interest in merging the two
I definitely don't have time to maintain this anymore, and I'm happy to hand it off in whatever form the various stakeholders would prefer (giving access to this repo, archiving this and pointing to a fork, etc).

@nex3 Thank you for perspective. It helps me a lot.

@nex3: Could you please enable Travis CI for the perspective-el repository? This requires owner-level permission. Thanks!

Done!
