MUSIC example using Python about nrn HOT 1 CLOSED

At the level of direct interaction with NEURON, if you are willing to operate at the level of
(gid, spiketime) which is needed for parallel network models, it would be possible to use
nrn/src/nrniv/netpar.cpp void nrn2ncs_outputevent(int gid, double firetime) {
to send spikes to all the synapses of cells in the parallel NEURON network that are targets of
NetCon's that have gid as their source. The spikes would be received at
t = firetime + NetCon.delay. All output spikes that globally are sent through nrn2ncs_outputevent
are gathered in nrn/src/nrniv/netpar.cpp. void nrn_spike_exchange at the
n = nrnmpi_spike_exchange();
line and you can decide what to do with all the (gid, spiketime) spikes at that point.
