+1 to not inferring anything, I just updated my local MP with some other data, but I can't find out if he's definitely standing or not so left that alone and now have accidentally marked him as definitely not standing.

Related but probably different - there is good evidence for my local Labour and Green Party candidates being new intake, is it fair to flag the previous (defeated) candidates from 2010 as not standing on that basis? Unless their name comes up as standing for another seat, there's not much available evidence for their current election status.

+1 I've run into this.
@lizconlan I've marked them as not standing if there's a new candidate standing.

+1, I just did this too :(
I have no idea whether the candidate intends to stand. I was just interested in semi-automating the process of populating profiles (to help with asking possible candidates directly.)
A ternary radio group (yes/no/don’t know) is preferable to a checkbox in the “Edit person” interface.

checks huboard Does contender mean you’re doing it, @mhl? If not, I can do this one!

@andylolz I should have moved it into the "Now" column to indicate this (sorry), but I have done this now... I'll make a pull request shortly, if you fancy reviewing it? (Or if you're already done, let's compare.)

@andylolz A pull request for my version is here: https://github.com/mysociety/yournextmp-popit/compare/standing-in-not-sure so let me know how you've got on and we'll resolve that one way or the other :)
