the thing is that starting ib-gateway 975, ib controller will not work properly to prevent the gateway to restart everyday:

I'm thinking to restart the docker at 3 AM every day - that would work?

@mvberg The main issue would be that QuantConnect did not upload newer versions for:
ibgateway-latest-standalone-linux-x64-v974.4g.sh
and for
http://cdn.quantconnect.com/interactive/IBController-QuantConnect-3.2.0.5.zip
What exactly is being done is those anyway? It would be great to have newer versions available.
Is there anything we can do to help?

You can download the lastesr version of the gateway there:
https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/index.php?f=16454
Same for IBController (IBC seems more up to date but it needs more modifications):
https://github.com/ib-controller/ib-controller/releases
https://github.com/IbcAlpha/IBC/
And create a new docker image
from ib-gateway-docker.
