Just a followup: I was able to use part of the code to have a simple id-based deleter.
I don't have the skills/time to integrate this as a feature. Not sure this is a feature someone would use.
My use case was: trying to sync my local harddrive and Google Photos. Over several years I moved from digital camera+Picasa + metadata management with backup to Google Drive => mainly smartphone+Google Photos. So the last couple of years my photos are in Google Photos but not on my local harddrive. And Google Photos also got some duplicates.
- I used the deduper to clean out Google Photos
- I used some python code to get lists of my local files and files in Google Photos. Files not on my local backup were copied locally, but in the Google Drive backup folder, so they resynced again -> another round of duplicates.
- used part of your code to upload a list of IDs with the duplicates. I reused most of the functionality as is, unfortunately the progress bar didn't work since I didn't have access to the underlying datastore (dependence on the deletedAt).
An implementation I was thinking of was that it could work similarly than the deduping where all photos are fetched, CSV is uploaded, shown in a list, select all, delete
Maybe in the first place I should have thought it through and not copy everything in the Google Drive folder again ...
