Hi Ryan,
I know exactly what's happening here. The documentation and examples all say that * can follow the # of the file (which is your case is always 1 as you have correctly input, since you have monthly files) but in reality the code looks at the very last character in each file name to get the file number. Since your files end with '.gbl' PySPLIT finds an 'l' and throws that error because it's expecting an integer. Daily file and monthly file finding will be implemented/fine tuned respectively in an upcoming release. For an immediate work around, put a number '1' on the end of all your filenames.
