Installation Error on Module about ps2exe HOT 3 CLOSED

this is no error installing PS2EXE, this is an error updating PowershellGet (the module that provides Install-Module). You will get the same error when you try to install another module from PowerShell Gallery.

I guess I can't help with this. Please check your internet connection. Maybe you're behind a corporate firewall that does not allow the access to PowerShell Gallery (you might try the script based version of PS2EXE then)?

another reason for the failure might be the wrong TLS configuration of your PowerShell, PowerShell Gallery does not support TLS1.0 anymore. You might try this:

[Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol = [Net.SecurityProtocolType]::Tls12
Install-Module ps2exe

You nailed it. This was only an issue on AWS Workspaces Win10. Tried on a local VM Win10 and installed without issues.

In AWS Workspaces the following resolved the issue and enabled successful installation:

[Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol = [Net.SecurityProtocolType]::Tls12
