I agree, however, I am not sure if ISO C++ Committee will decide to release it as a part of a standardized library. However, the library is easy to extend so it can be added later. See here: https://github.com/mpusz/units/blob/master/test/unit_test/runtime/digital_information_test.cpp.

Would the extension work for the really large derived dimensions like exbibytes? A ratio can only cover a part of that and a ratio multiplied with a power of 10 can most likely also not cover everything.
=> Wouldn’t it make sense to have a configurable base for the exponent in the ratio template? Then your argument that it can easily be extended to digital information is true no matter how large the binary prefix is.
