Is this a bug or have I misunderstood how the filters work?

That definitely is a bug. I'll investigate that.

Looks like I found the culprit. Commit 6e81863 should fix your problem.

If you have the chance to install the latest dev branch, you can already check it out – otherwise I'll test it and release it as soon as I can.

Hi.
I tested 1.1.3 about 5 hours ago. But now a can't get anything to work. I can see that Plex home bridge plugin is loading when I restart homebridge, but nothing is being sent to HomeKit. My harmony plugin is till OK. Nothing about Plex shows up in the log file. Tried to run homebred in debug mode, but nothing except login module :-(

Just to be clear: 1.1.3 will not fix your problem yet.

By „running homebridge in debug mode“ do you mean you added the debug setting to your homebridge-plex configurartion or are you referring to a debug setting for homebridge itself?

And what do you mean by the „login module“?

Sorry for being unclear.
"running homebridge in debug mode" I run DEBUG=* homebridge -D when starting homebridge from terminal.

I think a meant to write "Loading module":
2018, 5:43:10 PM] Loaded plugin: homebridge-plex
[2/7/2018, 5:43:10 PM] Registering accessory 'homebridge-plex.Plex'

But if I understand you, I should have the same functionality today with 1.1.3 that I had yesterday with 1.1.0?

I'll give it a try when I get home to see if I get any indication that plex is playing content.

How´s the syntax for debug in the config object?

mpbzh avatar mpbzh commented on July 24, 2024

Just add "debug": true

I'm so sorry! I have found the "problem". The night to today, probably my AppleTV installed the latest tvOS beta. This has probably made my AppleTV renamed from "AppleTV - Living Room" to just "Living Room". This made the homebridge-plex act just as it should and ignored this activity.
Typically, this will concur exactly when testing. Have never ever got my apple renamed bu itself before.

Your (initial) issue should be fixed in v1.1.5.

Please reopen if the issue persists.
