Hi b2jia,
Thank you for the question and your interest!
jupyterlab-snippets and jupyterlab-snippets-multimenus are independent extensions.
The snippets library in this repo works with either extension. I split the technology stack table
in the README.md file to make this clearer.
I think that the jupyterlab-snippets-multimenus extension is nicer, but its development seems to be abandoned.
You cannot post issues on the project's GitHub site. You should also take a look at the new library taggedpymolsnips. See Option 3.
Option 1: use the jupyterlab-snippets extension.
Option 2: install Anaconda and create a new conda env to house jupyterlab=3.0 and pymol.
Option 3: install the Elyra-snippets extension for Jupyterlab and then install the taggedpymolsnips library. The Elyra interface looks more modern (uses tags for retrieval and supports creation of your own snippets) and may be more appealing if you like tags.
Let me know which option worked for you.

It has been two months. I guess it worked for b2jia.
