Great suggestion! What would you suggest for the error message to be more intuitive?
I think adding a new error could also make sense.
ErrSingleInput = statsError{"Input must not be a single value."}
if input.Len() == 1 {
return math.NaN(), ErrSingleInput
}
Then you could check for that in your program:
perc, err := stats.Percentile([]float64{123.0}, 90.0)
if err == ErrSingleInput {
fmt.Println("Error calculating 90th percentile for single value")
}
from stats.
