Try to remove your DB volume and start it again. Unfortunately I was not able to replicate your issue.

That was the first thing I tried. :) I'll try it in a few more environments earlier today. I'd like to compare it with the previous vanilla zabbix container, is there a way to work around the auto-redirect when pulling?

Unfortunately there is no option to redirect docker image pulling.

I was able to successfully get it up by creating an entirely new Ubuntu VM with the latest docker engine. It might be beneficial to those of us that aren't able to do that to have some link or remark on how to access the Dockerfile prior to moving to XXL so we can continue to support existing systems (no need to maintain it, just have that accessible for us to build our own images that match what were were doing previously).

It's Github repo, so history of used Dockerfile is available. XXL version is compatible with previous version. You just need to update Docker image name and everything should be OK.

Ahh, the name of everything had changed to the point where I thought this was a new repo that completely replaced the one before XXL integration. I found the commit prior to XXL (May 13, 2016 for reference) and will attempt to see if that works. Either way, I'll probably end up cloning and keeping a local image associated with it to have better version management and not end up with surprises again.
