If any remote uses the hosts own remote then HMR can fail.
Do you have any pattern like app1(host)->app2->app1 (remoteEntry)?
If so, you need to do something like this.

Oh you are using webpacks copy. Nothing will work with webpacks. You have to use my fork and read the docs. Module-federation.io
Hmr will only work with the manifest protocol.
