Sorry, I don't quite understand your question here. What's your emulated SSD size? By creating the 2G file twice, do you mean overwriting it? How did you do it? do_gc() is triggered when you reach the GC threshold (I.e., roughly free space < ssd_size * (1-gc_threadhold)). Overwriting will generate a lot of invalid pages and blocks, but again, you shouldn't expect this to directly trigger GC.

For follow-ups, please provide the detailed benchmark or code you use in the guest OS and major FEMU parameters you tweak, this helps to identify what went wrong.
