I messed around with this a bit. The good news is that Unity has bitmasking logic built-in via Rule Tiles; very cool.
The bad news is that the Micro Roguelike tilemap doesn't seem especially well-suited to connecting tiles in the way I expect. Like it doesn't expect to have walls thicker than 1 unit. But the sprites are so tiny that I can probably whip up new ones that connect nicely without it looking too shonky.
