In the packages that were missing on my side:
- huggingface
- huggingface-hub
- hf-transfer
- numpy
This was using the Hugging Face install (and not the convert).
These packages were required according to my machine and the particular Python env I used. For others, more packages might be missing (thus the interest of having a universal and normalized env via Poetry :) )
About poetry, I can create a dedicate branch and let you give it a try, and decide whether it's something you want to integrate in the project or not :)

Could you be more specific about which packages were missing? I think it would be good to add them to requirements.txt
.
I think it oculd be nice to have a poetry
setup (I don't have experience with it). But maybe we can make it optional and describe it in the README.md
for users who prefer that route?
