In addition, I suggest the following as a template for the folders.
MAMEHub (on install process) creates sub folders for ALL the systems listed in the GUI (the filter list) and when a rom is downloaded, its automatically put in the relevant folder.
\roms\genesis
\roms\megadriv
\roms\tg-16
\roms\snesdsp
\roms\snesusa
each sub folders name matches the machine name used in the GUI (i.e softlist name).
If the user wishes to override the default locations of each machine, then they can do so via the top menu.
But it should be like that, a strict method of selecting default paths for each machine, NOT just having one rom folder containing everything (like it is now, which makes it difficult to manage, remember what is what).

Most people won't put a significant amount of roms into the roms folder, since it is likely on their windows drive. Like mine. I wouldn't fill it with as many as I couldn't actually sort in a reasonable, and doubt anyone else will.

Thinking about it, this should only be for downloads only, as sorting roms would be a nightmare, for ones you have
obtained yourself (e.g a rom file could relate to 1 of 3 machines, but which one?).
This would be better
\roms\downloads\genesis
\roms\downloads\tg-16
\roms\downloads\snesdsp
\roms\downloads\snesusa
\roms <--- where you can put your own, just the default

Now that MAMEHub uses softlists, CHD paths must follow the softlist format (1 directory deeper than the rompath). Closing this.
