Is there a reason why the existing filters couldn't use the yuicompressor module as a fallback? That is, if YUI_COMPRESSOR_PATH is not defined, use yuicompressor.get_jar_filename() instead (if it can be imported).
(Note that JAVA_HOME is not required; if it isn't defined, "java" is assumed to be in the path, just like yuicompressor does).
