New version should be strongly signed now.
Although it also has some breaking changes (if you use pubternals).

I quite reluctant to do it. It's a pain when you have dependencies depending on different versions.
I'm looking now at public signing (https://github.com/dotnet/corefx/blob/master/Documentation/project-docs/public-signing.md) maybe this will solve the problem.

Regarding public signing, "When running on the full .NET Framework we only support using public signed assemblies for debugging and testing purposes. Microsoft does not guarantee that you can successfully load public signed assemblies in all scenarios that are required for production use."
We would like to use your assembly in a strong named application, but to do so we'd need to build and strong name our own versions, negating the usefulness of being able to pull packages directly from NuGet. If you could consider a strong-named version, that would be very useful.
