Hi! I'm Amrutha Srinivasan, a Software Engineer from Microsoft. One of my team's goals is to increase adoption of PWA's on Windows. Support for PWAs on winget is very important to make sure PWAs are first class citizens in the app space, so I will be working on getting this feature implemented.

I ran in an interesting scenario with PWAs and winget today.
On a machine that doesn't have spotify installed (any form of it):
- Open Edge
- Go to https://open.spotify.com/
- Install the PWA through the icon in the address bar
- Open a terminal
- Run
winget upgrade
Spotify is listed as a package that can be upgraded. If you upgrade it, you end up with both versions (the PWA and the x86). I'm not sure whether this should be considered a feature or a bug, but this is definitively something to consider as a lot of PWAs also have a download and install experience or a store experience.
