Dynamically Generate contributes Field from Code During Build about vscode HOT 2 CLOSED

Thanks for the suggestion, I agree that it can be annoying to maintain the package.json. But I don't think this is something that vsce or vscode should do automatically out of the box. There are also often things that go into the package.json static contribution that don't normally show up in code. It could be a useful third-party tool to build though!

I'd like to hear your suggestions on how to accomplish it. Dynamic modifying package.json is dangerous.

Maybe we can add a import field to contributes , and we can import all the config from a json file ,a js file or a ts file, and can get type-safe edits
