non-ECMAScript syntax with JavaScript output

Isn't this an ECMAScript compatible syntax, strictly speaking?

For the moment, this code would raise a ReferenceError when accessing T (you can catch it), and not a SyntaxError (you cannot).

Am I going too far? Heheh...

More seriously, I see your point.

The problem would be if the user declared a variable with the name of the type, overshadowing typescript's type.

This is allowed and would break this feature...

from typescript.
