If you pass in a bytebuffer that's direct it expects it to live for the lifetime of the tensor. If you close it or release it in some way then bad things will happen. One other thing to check is that the byte buffer is set to nativeOrder, rather than the default order, as it looks like it put things into the buffer but the bytes are in the wrong order.
