It seems that the microphone_recorder_events "microphone_activity" event is only create once at the start of each recording when the user presses the record button.

Is it possible to either regularly create this event so that we can update the activity level (ideally where we can specify the time interval) or to add a method that we call to return the activity level at that time.

Ideally we want to display the activity level back to the user so that the user can see if they are overloading their microphone and need to lower the gain.

As an alternative, might it be possible to add a visual activity meter within the flash itself, so that users can tell if they need to adjust the gain?
