This sounds like an issue that existed a long time ago. Are you still experiencing this?

Deactivated the app since, so haven't tried lately. Will enable it again and see if I experience the same.

I am experiencing this issue (2017-11-06). This starts only after editing python file(s) in Atom with python-tools running. After killing the process, Python-Tools no longer works. Closing Atom does not end/kill the process. It keeps going (forever it seems).

@travistennies could you find the parameters for that executable? It's possible that some other program is giving you this problem. Admittadly there are situations where this could happen but it should be rare (I believe its when the jedi package finds itself in a circular dependency). Do you have any other atom python packages installed like python-autocomplete?

@MichaelAquilina I have not tested if the problem still exists, but I do have python-autocomplete installed (and did have when the problem occurred).

@MichaelAquilina I am no longer having an issue because I stopped using python-autocomplete. And I ran it, without python-tools running, and got the same result/issue. So...false alarm.

Just installed python-tools, tried to use it, and had my whole system lock up because it used up all my RAM. I checked htop and there it was python-tools using up over 10GB of RAM (and swap).
