Thank you for opening the issue & providing this information - it's very helpful!

Currently, the templates are based around the latest version of CoreOS available in the Rackspace Public Cloud - which is itself a bit outdated (v835.9.0). This allows the templates to work similarly on the Rackspace Public as they would on native OpenStack (which was initially primarily focused on Rackspace Private, but is certainly not tied to it)

As soon as the Rackspace Public Cloud image gets updated, I'll make this change.

Has this already happened? Since your README file mentions docker version 1.10 where -d flag is removed. :)

@KLuka Yes this changed has already happened. The default image in corekube-cloudservers.yaml is CoreOS 1010.5 which ships with Docker 1.10.3
