I found this solution. This may not the real fix, but at least it solves my issue for now.
Set this configuration before running Codi and chain it with Codi:
:let g:codi#virtual_text = 1 | Codi
and deactivate with:
:Codi! | let g:codi#virtual_text = 0.
This works nicely with key mapping. This is it for now, I close this issue.
PS. If | notation does not work on your vimrc or init.vim, replace | with as in:
nmap <F6> :let g:codi#virtual_text = 1 <bar> Codi <CR>
from codi.vim.
