Interesting, won't be hard to replicate the rules logic for badges (or reuse them).
I like it, who will code it? I'm guiding.

@cngump added point blocks in his commit, and @MarkBorcherding is working on a totally revamped points feature (with ability to have different score "categories", and history to be able to recompute rules or just see how the attributes got created) in his branch.

I'll wait for the revamped version, as I think that being able to study points granting history is key, and it makes sense to have points granting to different "scores". This and better tests may make version 1 of Merit.
