Appears to be working on Chrome 31, which it says is the latest version.

I am running on Version 31.0.1650.63 m.
Went to demo site and they are not working on hover, just on click.

Do you have "Emulate Touch Events" enabled in the Chrome Dev Tools settings?

There is a Javascript error in the console:
Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'dropdownHover' line 292
Not sure if this is related.

I don't see that error. Everything works for me. That error is certainly related, but I have no idea why it's happening just to you.

Are there any errors about not being able to find bootstrap-hover-dropdown.js?

The only other "Warning" in the console is:
event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead. jquery-latest.js:5374

I highly doubt this could be an issue, but I asked my partner to test his chrome (same version) and it is working for him. The only difference between our computers is Windows, I am on 8, he's on 7.

Something does seem to be up with Windows 8. I was able to spin up a VM running 8.1, and I see that same error. But it doesn't make any sense. All the scripts are being loaded correctly and in order. And then it's just not finding the function.

Yup, I went around at work testing it on other computers. I can verify that it has something to do with Chrome on Windows 8 - 8.1. Strange.

I just tested this, and it seems to have resolved itself?

@ChrisPW can you confirm this?

markwienands avatar markwienands commented on June 9, 2024

Same problem here. Problem only persists in Chrome. However, I tested it on another computer with Chrome without all the dev tools installed and it is working fine. So there must be a conflict with one of the dev tools I got.

@markwienands if you find out which it is, let me know.
