Honestly I don't use docker a lot myself. I set that stuff up back in the day but am not super familiar with it and it's not high on my priority list but I would definitely accept a PR with some updates if you know what to do.

I got it working but the app doesn’t allow me to upload a video. It just eventually returns a 404 for the video

Do you see anything come through the logs when you upload? That would be my first place to look.

i see a lot of errors in devtools. nothing on the node side

Can you check the /uploads folder and see if anything is turning up there?

one small showed up there. but i couldn't figure out how to open it in the
browser.

Basically the folder that is loaded via process.env.SAVE_AND_SERVE_FILES is served through express.static, line on 195 app.js . So if there is an ./uploads folder with those files they should be served up by express
