I think what you are saying is true if beam_size=1
, but not otherwise. You can have an anchor of size 1 with super low coverage and high precision in your beam , and later on find an anchor of size 3 and higher coverage / same precision.
Please reopen if this didn't make sense or if I'm wrong.

Thanks, I understand now. I previously hadn't considered the case where an anchor from a different beam can be larger and have greater coverage.
