Thanks! Short version, the F-Droid app store rebuilds Android apps who are open source and offers these from its own app store, independent of Google. In this way it verifies that the build is without any unwanted/unexepcted closed source components that might spy or leak data.

Sorry, but F-Droid inclusion is still impossible:

    compile 'com.google.firebase:firebase-ads:9.4.0'
    compile 'com.google.android.gms:play-services-appindexing:9.4.0'

Each of these 4 is a show-stopper. Is it possible to have a build flavor without them? And is this project still maintained (just asking as there hasn't been a commit for more than 2 years)?
