I only got this error twice while rendering millions of tiles, so this is definitely not happening frequently.

curious, have you been seeing this warning? "render: this map appears to be in use by 1 other thread(s) which is not allowed. You need to use a map pool to avoid sharing map objects between concurrent rendering". I am seeing this upon starting tilemill and it comes out of node-mapnik's render() function.

I've been seeing this, but not recently. Maybe your tilelive-mapnik isn't up-to-date?

kkaefer, so I've just upgraded to OS X Lion and I'm seeing this occasionally now. It's only happened twice, but it's still worry some. Konstantine did you see this before upgrading?

Not sure; I upgraded late July, so this could be a Lion induced bug. I haven't seen it recently though. Did you recompile Mapnik/node-mapnik after the upgrade?

Interesting, I haven't recompiled mapnik on Lion yet (nor anything else, actuallly). Perhaps that is the issue.

I've not seen this yet. I'm still running on snow leopard atm, but will be upgrading this week. @miccolis - are you seeing this frequently? Still seeing it on lion after recompile?
