@springmeyer is fixing this (so it works with Carto, etc.) as straightforward as updating the reference file? text-upright seems like the logical name. If so, I'll take a whack at it.

@mojodna yes - for symbolizer properties - to enable in Carto.js it's as simple as adding an entry in the reference and pulling in the new json doc (making sure you request the right version as per https://github.com/mapbox/tilemill/commit/41c664c99b10bdc7f506f90959ab30fc227774f7). The only exception is for higher level properties like Mapnik <Style> level stuff that is not yet fully abstracted out of carto.js.
