Excellent point.
Everybody in the AlphaPept team currently has write access and can directly make new branches for the repo.
For all other contributors, they can only read, and the way is to fork the repo, make an own branch, and then making a pull request, so we should not have the problem of deleting something where people are working on.
I'll go ahead and clean the stale branches.

Stale branches removed.
I kept the CLA-branch for now - the idea here would be that the signatures will be written to this branch as we could remove the branch protection. Still, the CLA is not working.
