Do you have an example of how you could use this style to create a job and then query the state of that job? Ideally I need to get back the stdout.

Currently it sleeps to wait for the job to complete, maybe you would like to add a snippet that checks for completion?

That's exactly what I did. I added a status function to an object I wrote. This PR you've got into this gem works great! Hope to see this merged into master. Right now I'm pulling directly from your branch in my Gemfile. We can probably close this issue out though.
