I upgraded to beta 2.9.17 and I can confirm that it works there. Thanks!

I tried to delete the created notebooks, then I deleted the plugin, deleted temporary files, reinstalled it and now it works correctly!! I don't know what the bug will be, but now it works. Thanks a lot!!

Same issue here. The plugin doesn't work anymore :(

Ok which version of Joplin do you use? And what OS version? I will have a look.
I have tested it on windows 10/11 with latest Joplin beta (2.9.17)

Windows 10, up to date
Joplin, 2.8.8, latest non-beta release

@EnidanBri thank you for providing the data I investigate on 2.8.8
from joplin-plugin-athena.
I can confirm the issue (repro on 2.8.8) For now the plugin will require 2.9.17 to work. I will dig into it.

@EnidanBri great news! Thank you for reporting, I did not test my plugin with the official release, only with the latest beta.
During testing, I also found some bad errors due to old dependencies, the PDF extract won't work.
The issue with the import path is wired. For now, it's not elegant fixed, for the future I need to integrate some more checks in order to handle improper input or reload better.
So am I right to assume I can close the Issue?

I'm using Joplin 2.9.17 on win10, I tried everything but nothing. Every time I change the settings it creates me approximately 10 empty notebooks but does not import any files. Thanks for the help
from joplin-plugin-athena.
ah ok, do you validate the note exists (default to inbox), yes it should not create empty notebooks!? I will check on that error as well.
from joplin-plugin-athena.
The note not exist, only create the empty notebooks. I've tried several different configurations, but I haven't had results.

Ok that is as well new for me I will have a look into it.

@makaanneo just want to note that on Ubuntu v23.04 I have run into a problem where I believe this plugin imported my "dotfiles" (~/.bashrc
, ~/.profile
, as well as eg. ~/.bash_history
and many more) into joplin and then removed them from my home directory.

Just wanted to leave a thank you and confirm that the plugin is working for me on Joplin 2.10.19 (prod, win32) & Athena: 2.2.3
