Keeping previous mailinabox installs up to date security-wise, etc. about mailinabox HOT 6 CLOSED

Hi, @jdnier. Thanks for using Mail-in-a-Box!

There haven't been any security fixes so far that I can recall. Once the project is stable we'll make releases and post release notes. I'll keep this issue open as a reminder to start doing release notes.

But updating a non-clean system won't be supported. The only supported way to update the system will be to git pull the latest Mail-in-a-Box and then re-run start.sh.

I was going to ask the same question. My mailinabox for instance does not have the management directory or management daemon. If I do a git pull to get the latest Mail-In-a-Box, will running start.sh mess up my current mail boxes or config?

OK, after a full backup and test it seems to still all be working. I'm still monitoring at the moment to make sure... ;-)

Is there anything in the new structure or management daemon I should be aware of or on the lookout for?

That is a relief!

Actually git pull && setup/start.sh is supposed to do just that. It should all "just work".
