It's more complicated than that with the new roles. I'll let @skizzerz do the explaining.

That's what I mean, it's essentially repeating a line of nicks and adding to the 'noise'.

Actually, your example shows nicely why this won't work, at least not with an easy line like "The village team won" or "The wolf team won". ^^
In your example, rika was a jester and won only because they have been lynched during the day. They are not a part of the normal village team, as they only win by being lynched at day, and lose in every other case.

Also, I personally really like to be able to see very quickly if this game counts as victory for me, and what other players have also won. I don't need to read "The village team has won" after "All the wolves are dead". This adds no information at all. ;)

From part of a discussion in -ops, why not make the winners a different colour in the list of players?

Using the above as an example, and bold to represent colour:

The wolf was Chelsie. The seer was woffle. The cultist was Mithadon. The jester was rika. The shaman was nyuszika7h. The cursed villager was auror.

If villagers also win, the line "Additional winners are:"

This shows who the winners are with out having to repeat nicks.

Color is not handled well in every client and some people configure their clients to not display color as a matter of personal preference. This would also be a lot more confusing than just saying "The winners are..."
