I think I have a similar problem. My server is also only available over https and like @betamax65 I can't log in with the Android app. Everytime I try to login the dropdown gets reset to "http". So it seem like the description of @betamax65 is correct.... Is there any progress regarding this issue?

I do not have this problem. The apps logs in to friendica on port 443 as expected. apache for friendica is listening on 443 / redirecting requests on port 80 to 443 and everything looks just fine.

same here. Login via the app fails with the mentioned above error message. Server used is snarl.de
