I just figured it out that it works fine with jQuery validation plugin and supports it fully ...
I found that your code make original select box's display none ...
so adding this code : $(form_selector).validate({ ignore: "" })
made my validations working again

Can someone please provide me with an example of how to get this working. I've tired to use the ignore:"" option of the validation plugin in combination with the multiselect plugin and cannot for the life of me get it to work. I'll admit that I'm a complete jquery noob, but, this "solution" look simple enough even to me yet I cannot make it happen.
