@puranjayjain - sounds like a theme layer thing. Work with @daannijkamp and @veksen.

I am here to help answer any specific questions.

We want to re-vamp async's docs too, so I'm really curious to see what comes of this. Our libraries are similar in structure, so we could likely have the same docs strategy.

I'm not much of a designer but I'd be glad to help on CSS and implementing a mobile theme. I'd also be down to take a crack at the repl and page search.

Great! Those wanting to help, feel free to fork this repo and start hacking.

I like postcss as a preprocessor using plugins that allow css-next functionality

@lodash/maintainers Do you all have preferences on jscs and linting. I know lodash uses jscs but for linting I think eslint is preferred. I know some use eslint-only as it has capabilities like jscs. Is that a correct summary?

I think eslint has some rules relating to style, but most of the time I prefer jscs + eslint.

I just noticed this template float past my twitter feed: docdash (\cc @clenemt)

clenemt avatar clenemt commented on August 15, 2024

Thanks @aearly but docdash is just a ripoff from your own site sadly. It took not much than an hour to hack this together and maybe two hours to find the repo name 😄.

I am still amazed of how easy it is to make themes for jsdoc and i would definitely advise anyone needing a js documentation website to use it.

ps: i will try to find time to add a quick search "a la google instant search" to docdash since i am definitely missing this for my own usage.

docdash is in place. You will also notice all documentation has been uploaded, albeit currently only accessibly via manually updating the URL, i.e.:

Unfortunately docdash does not do what we hoped, out-of-the-box. It does not seem to be honoring the @category tag, at least as it relates to navbar categorization.

Good news is, it looks very similar to the previous lodash theme, and includes mobile support out-of-the-box.

@clenemt - Any thoughts? We also need some configuration options, such as updating the page title, "Home" link, etc. I haven't dug in much; since you are the project owner I thought it worthwhile to reach out first.

@justinhelmer I have an addition we can add a simple copy button to all the code snippets. It's a real neat feature. Where should I PR?
