More details: Captions work properly when I put in a single image using {{< figure >}}, just not for the gallery. When using the gallery, I can successfully edit how the caption bar appears (top, bottom, center, slide, fade, etc.) it is only that the caption text fails to appear. For the time being, I have set the caption setting to "none" until the issue is found.
