XMPP login gives not-authorized about livesdk HOT 6 CLOSED

For XMPP, you need to request access to the wl.messenger scope in addition to other scopes for which you'll use this token.

Oh I didn't see this scope in the list on the dev centre, where is that specified? Thanks for the tip, I'll try it right away.

This is specified in the "Get an access token" section of the topic titled "Getting started using Messenger with XMPP" in the preliminary documentation.

Since the documentation is still in a pre-release phase, we can't generate links to the topics. You have to download the documentation and view it as a CHM file, so I can't send you a link, sorry.
