For a Go app developer, u have to learn GoTextProtocol and SmartGameFormat, they two can not be omitted. To learn them, just search via bing or yandex.
Specially, KataGo has GTP Extension and Analyze-JSON Protocol, see https://github.com/lightvector/KataGo/tree/master#features-for-developers
