Same problem here, how can I install a nightly build using emudeck? Is there a way to do that?

Have you tried a nightly build of RetroArch? I believe we already worked around this issue and reported the problem to the gamescope folks at Valve to correct the problem on their end, as well:

Updated to 1.18.0 and the issue is fixed so looks like this commit did the trick, thank you :)

I/we don't know anything about how EmuDeck handles things. You might have better luck asking them instead.

Both, but I grabbed a test build of the flatpak. You should be able to update to 1.18.0 with the flatpak sometime tomorrow (or whenever flathub's buildbot finishes, probably sooner).

Sorry for all the questions, but once the Flathub flatpak comes out, will that overwrite the version that Emudeck installed or will it be a separate app?

No, EmuDeck uses the flatpak. It looks like 1.18.0 is out now so you can just update in Discover, in desktop mode. There should be an RA update available.

Indeed it has. Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction.
