Apologies for the confusion. The build is currently verified on Yosemite with Homebrew and with MacPorts. However the documentation is not current. I'm working on that presently.
It looks like your build system is outdated. Please review the BX instructions as they are nearly identical.

Ok thank you very much man.
I though I was doing something wrong or something of this sort... Kinda hard to get Yosemite on my old mac. I'll try using BX and see how that goes.

It may work on 10.6.8, just haven't verified it.
