There is #867, but we haven't been able to find the root cause yet unfortunately

Hi haasad,
thank you very much for your answer! The differnce seems to be that in my case it is permanently crashing. Do you know if there is a fomer version of AB in which this error does not occurr and which is already supporting ecoinvent 3.8? Installing AB 2.6.9 returns a NumPy error when starting AB:
AttributeError: module 'numpy' has no attribute 'bool'.
`np.bool` was a deprecated alias for the builtin `bool`. To avoid this error in existing code, use `bool` by itself. Doing this will not modify any behavior and is safe. If you specifically wanted the numpy scalar type, use `np.bool_` here.
The aliases was originally deprecated in NumPy 1.20; for more details and guidance see the original release note at:

Hi ljlazar,
as far as I am aware we have only been seeing this for Linux, this has also mainly be related to the imports (with which I am still regularly getting segmentation faults) not so much upon completing the calculations.
The older versions including 2.6.9 are using features that have since been deprecated, I guess you are probably using the environment from the latest installs, right? So to use the older versions would require reverting back to older versions in the numpy dependency (there might also be changes in some of the pandas code too)
Could you also send us some info on your environment?

in windows it crashes as well but does not show any error message in the prompt.
You are right, I created now a new environment for 2.6.9, the NumPy error disappeared but a Qt error appeared
ImportError: DLL load failed while importing QtWebEngineWidgets: Das angegebene Modul wurde nicht gefunden.

Hi ljlazar,
the Qt error is because the qt-webengine is not installed, for some reason this changed fairly recently now both qt-main and this have to be specified.
I know it's a pain, but would it be possible to try the AB with gdb?

Hi,
hang on conda install --force qt-webengine didn't work? Maybe you need to reactivate the environment? Otherwise this is extremely strange I mean the error states it can't find it, so installing it should fix that. For your sake I hope it's something simple, otherwise that'll be a headache for sure.
For the gdb debugging you should check out this link https://wiki.python.org/moin/DebuggingWithGdb
It really helped me, I've previously used it for c and c++ but hadn't a clue for using it with python (another AB user/developer demonstrated it with the AB for me)

Actually I just saw your previous issue, so sorry for this previous question I posed (and now deleted) @ljlazar
If you want some help with using gdb then just send me a message? However, I would prefer to see some results from this before trying much further, as otherwise I feel like I'll be groping around in the dark

I tried it again with a new installation of Ubuntu and the crashes seemed to have disappeared. In windows the problem still exists. I am going to contact you because of gdb., thanks for the offer.
