I haven't tested this in a Laravel application yet, but It should work nicely on Laravel 5.6 and up.

Interesting question. I usually require the latest PHP version available at the moment. Do you need it to work on PHP 7.1?

I want to use this library but all of my packages (including laravel) require a maximum version of 7.1. It would be great if the 7.2 will be set when laravel 6+ uses a higher version. It seems consistent to me, like that. Don't know if you are using any php 7.2 features though.
